I have worked as a dental nurse for six years. I previously worked in a practice in Girvan South Ayrshire. I have worked at Belhaven since November 2005 and really enjoy working here.

I do at least four courses a year to keep myself up-to-date with changes within the dental profession. Allison and I have recently completed the Cleanliness Championship course, which helps us to maintain our high standard of hygiene within the practice and also to show our work colleagues how to maintain the same standards.

In our practice we try our best to help nervous patients. I am happy to be the person who gets to spend time with patients and explain procedures to them and hopefully make their visit to the dentist a pleasant experience.

Personal

I enjoy spending time with my three children and two grandchildren who all live in South Ayrshire. I like long country walks to keep me fit and then relaxing with a good book (usually supplied by Catherine) on my recliner chair.

I think I sound rather dull compared to the rest of this gang but don’t be fooled. I have had a rather interesting life (according to Catherine). I just tell the story when the right question is asked!!!
